Valérie Menuet is a young designer from Nantes, who, after several years of designing sets for theater or stage arts, has ventured into creating objects. In her new activity, she combines her skills acquired in the field of lighting from her previous job as a set decorator, with her passion for art and design.
In her studio in Nantes, she gives birth to unique creations, often using recycled products and "unconventional" materials. Her inspiration lies somewhere between artistic creation, design, and sculpture in a pure "nothing is lost, everything is transformed" spirit. In her creations, Valérie pays particular attention to ensuring that each object is functional and useful, as well as aesthetic.
In these photos, we can admire two different projects, both associated with cables from our catalog with colorful textiles, making color the main element!
The first one is a hanging lamp, for which she used plastic cups and pots as well as our round textile cable, plain or with ZigZag patterns. The second project is a pair of hanging lamps with a minimalist design inspired by Scandinavian style, the orange textile cable creates a strong contrast with the white wall and the natural color of the lamp's wood.
