Creative Cables illuminates Precollinear Park, the most interesting and innovative green space in Turin.
Torinostratosferica, a social laboratory for urban research and innovation, has given a new life to the spaces of a former tram line by creating a "green belt" that extends over 800 meters. For the summer season of 2021, it also launched the "Precollinear Park Summer", inaugurated on July 13th and will continue until the end of the month with events, discussions, and much more.
The partnership
We enthusiastically embraced this by designing and creating 6 different site-specific lighting environments. We made very long string lights (including one that was 160 meters long!) and developed systems to illuminate and enhance the park's context as effectively as possible.
What we used
To properly illuminate such a large outdoor space, it was necessary to use a water-resistant system. There was no better choice than our EIVA waterproof system with an IP65 resistance rating, which perfectly withstood the heavy storm that hit Turin a few days ago.
Lampshades and lamp suspensions
Thanks to the great versatility of our systems, we were able to play with lengths and drops to create true light installations. We created compositions with the EIVA Pastel pendants, using all 4 available colors, while to illuminate the long alley, we used the Swing Pastel lampshades.
Not just EIVA
The Lumet garlands also played an important role, perfectly illuminating and decorating the spaces of the old tram shelters. Thanks to their IP44 water resistance rating, they are the best choice for outdoor environments such as terraces, balconies, and verandas.
