Located halfway between Brescia and Franciacorta, not far from Lake Iseo, the Tabacconist of Castrezzato reopens its doors after several decades of closure. A complex of late 19th-century industrial buildings covering 10,000 square meters, whose memory had long been forgotten due to its state of degradation and abandonment. Thanks to a project to recover the architectural structure, the place will come back to life: without a tobacco shop but with a versatile space to enjoy 360 degrees!
A place that throughout the summer will be dedicated to sharing and meetings born from collaborations with local businesses and activities. An idea intentionally evoking the relaxed rhythms of summer: an open-air space open to everyone, if only to take a break, sip a good glass of wine, dine while enjoying the numerous and varied culinary offerings provided by street food, the bistro, and the brewery, which will host big names in Italian cuisine.
In this atmosphere of "restarting," we have committed ourselves to Brescia, a place to which we are connected through our flagship store located in the heart of the city, a hub for individuals and professionals. Our intervention involved the design of the space lighting. Eiva was our design choice: the first IP65-rated powered socket, accessible to the world, a new and creative solution which, in our opinion, is capable of reflecting the artistic atmosphere that the former tobacco shop Tabaccaia is preparing to offer its customers. Various possible combinations for our colorful, practical, and functional outdoor lamps, able to bring a breath of fresh air to a long-forgotten place. The lighting installation was carried out by CroVal.
The decor was done by SCAB Design - a DOC company based in Brescia - which furnished the bistro space with 60 Lady B chairs, a chair with a sturdy techno-polymer structure in various earth tones, and the elegant and practical extra-size Lisa Lounge Club armchair. An ambitious renovation project, articulated across several buildings of the Tabaccaia tobacco shop, aimed straight at rebirth with the goal set for the year 2021. A place from the past turned towards the future, guided with tenacity by the light of Eiva.
